Yesterday(Thursday 30th)Dave got on his way.He caught the 7.16 train from Gloucester and eventually got to Penzance at 13.17.Then he cycled to Land's End(about 10 miles)to start his journey! He cycled 31.9miles to his first stop at Blackwater near Truro, and said the wind was against him...that's the problem Dave, the wind doesn't always blow the way you want it to!Today he hopes to cycle roughly twice that distance and should end up in Okehampton.
Having said 'hi' to our Aussie and Hereford supporters we must also say hi and thank you to the Brussels contingent, looks like we've gone global!Thank you to everyone who has sent money, eaten cake(yes,Kay,you know the guilty parties)and generally offered encouragement,it is greatly appreciated.
Nearly everyone in the Forestry Commission who knows Dave has been most supportive and generous, and even a fair number who don't know him have too.
